  The Path of Sophia

The Sophia Communion as Practiced in Hawaii

In order to secure a spiritual foundation that does more than quiet the mind and emotion and allow us to feel a little serenity, we will embrace a spiritual path that gives us hope of a non-dual union with the Divine, that teaches that S/he is within us, only to be re-membered.

If it is to lead to consciousness, a spiritual practice will begin with the idea that there is no intrinsic evil and hold the truth that we are responsible for our own actions. We must also be assured that mistakes will be met with grace and forgiveness. The resolute striving for Consciousness is undertaken when we can first trust in Divine forgiveness for our mistakes and then go on to employ self-forgiveness. "Hearken to the word; understand knowledge; love life, and no one will persecute you, nor will anyone oppress you, other than yourselves." (The apocryphon of James 1:9, The Nag Hammadi Library.)

Confidence in ourselves as we learn to walk on a spiritual path is given time to develop when we have hope in a future life and are not threatened with eternal suffering should failure be the result in this one. It is from such a secure spiritual foundation that the practice of compassion and service will evolve to its highest pinnacle.

The Sophia Communion creates a space for us to praise Sophia as the Divine Mother and in our reunion with Her, reunite with ALL. When everyone is of One voice, breathing together as One Breath, we together re-member the Perfect Pattern of Health, Prosperity, Unity and Wisdom. We truly believe that this praise of Sophia will bring peace to our world, joy to our hearts and compassion and love to us all. Re-union with Sophia will end disaster, degeneration and war.

As we commune with Her through prayer, song, and meditation, and receive the Sacrament of milk and honey, we become ready to receive Sophia's gifts: Love, Beauty and Truth. Sophia gives because Sophia is the Mother of Beauty and Prosperity; we are her children; abundance is our birthright and service our reward.

We sing that Sophia is within us and we are in Sophia. Knowing that, fear, worry and doubt are forever gone from our mind. When the mind has resolved all of its differences through ritual, service and praise, and through the practice of conscious and unconditional compassion, then the inner, which is stillness itself, is known.

When the inner is strong, the outer gives rise to peace, and that which is outside and that which is inside become One. "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner,...then you will enter the kingdom."(The Gospel of Thomas 1:22, The Nag Hammadi Library)

From this convergence, it is then easy to see each other self going through what must be done during his/her particular stage of life. When we remain in this non-dual vantagepoint opposites are there and no opposites are seen. We only see opposites when our vision is limited, when we have not experienced Oneness.

When we step into that Oneness, our vision is enhanced. We view the totality and know (gnow) that balance exists because Sophia prevails. Through experiencing Her, we learn to trust and take one more step away from self-protection and fear toward compassion and service.

Here is a view that resolves all contradictions and answers all questions: "yet to be experienced is yet to be understood". Once experienced and understood, peace and serenity come. The threads of destiny are untied and as we release others into love, beauty, abundance and joy, we are released.

The path of devotion, praise, meditation, contemplation and service to the Mother reflects and creates Oneness. When we attend to the unfolding of the individual Divine nature while dealing positively and consciously with the individual human nature, we create an opening for this activity to enter into the collective consciousness. By following this spiritual practice, we find ourselves effortlessly replacing charity for greed, self-discipline for self-indulgence, community service for self-centeredness, and dealing with, rather than merely suppressing the instinctive feelings of jealousy, hatred, lust and anger.

Then we begin to see changes around us as this behavior enters the collective consciousness. Aligned with this Divine Path, as we avoid the pitfalls of judgment, comparison and expectation, we move with all towards Divine Inspiration and the Perfect Pattern.

When self-righteousness, self-defense and self-interest are no longer used to reconcile our own individual misbehavior, we move All-as-One closer to the potential of Divine Perfection.
