  Mary Poppins and Sophia

Mary Poppins and Sophia

by Geraint

At one of Geraint's lectures given to Goddess worshippers he was asked
this question:

"People like us are constantly talking about the Goddess. How come knowledge, or curiosity about the Goddess hasn't reached the public sector?"

This is a transcript of his rather testy reply, he had been having trouble with non-readers before this question.

"The Goddess has been public for donkey's years, but only perceptible to the sensitive person.

How many of you who call yourself Goddess worshippers saw the movie Mary Poppins when you were kids? Most of you.

How many of you who call yourselves Goddess worshippers have actually read all five of the Mary Poppins books by P.L. Travers? None of you.

There I can rest my case.

P.L.Travers was a mystic. She was a pupil of the famous Gurdjieff and a student of a Zen roshi. She did not write for children. There
are five books in the series for the same reason that the pentagram most of you are wearing has five points.

If you had read the books you would have known about the dance in heaven. On that occasion the stars and planets bowed down to Mary Poppins, and she danced with the Sun himself. And he kissed her.

Mystics know that the scar of the burn from that kiss was shaped like a dove from the village of Magdala, home of another great Mary.

Mary Poppins is Sophia. And Walt Disney is not going to know that, or tell you that.

The characters in the book are not whimsical people who sing funny songs. They are all based on the Tarot deck. The Banks children are
the children mentioned in the Tao as the only ones who know the Way, and in the New Testament as: "Except ye become as little children ye
shall in no wise enter the kingdom of God."

Don't let the brainwashing of Disney divert you from your true task. Don't allow the pictures that he and his crew embed in your memory become all you know about anything. Read!!

The movie " She" was a ghastly travesty of a book written by H. Rider Haggard. He was beyond the 10th degree in the Rosicrucian fraternity.
He was an extraordinay adept with the rank of Ipsissimus.

The book had NOTHING whatever to do with some tawdry sex goddess from Hollywood. It was one of the most important spiritual texts of the last 150 years, written as an adventure story to keep it safe from the religious bigots.

It was about the archetype of the Goddess herself. Even people who know only the Hebrew alphabet could see that the title of the book, and the title of the sequel, Ayesha, were both puns on the Hebrew word for fire.

You are not going to get any of that from a 90 minute video or a movie made to extract money from the pockets of the mundane.

For Sophia's sake get off your arses and READ THE BOOKS!!!!!

Don't go to the movies or watch a video and assume, that because some fool of a director thinks the material is for children, that adults needn't bother about it.

After my major in Chemistry I got bitten by the mathematics bug and took up an honor's math degree course at London University. One of the
books on the obligatory reading list for the four year, math only course, was Alice Through the Looking Glass.

The whole book describes the solution to a chess problem. It is about the yogi that Carl Jung met in his dream, who turned out to be Jung himself, meditating.

It is a deep book about the effect of changes in perspective. It was written by a professor of mathematics at Cambridge. It is not just another piece of Disney world to sell lunch boxes for school kids.

Some stories in olden times were told to children because society was not literate as a whole.

The children became the keepers of the traditional wisdom, because by nature they insist that the fairy story you told them yesterday is told them today in exactly the same way. Word for word, whenever you tell
it.

And that's how they passed the stories on to their children.

The fairy stories and folk tales contain the wisdom of the race perpetuated through the memories of children for the benefit of adults.

Cinderella is NOT about a little girl who marries a prince. In the French screw-up of the story, which is what we have usually heard, the name Cinderella means Daughter of the Ashes. Poor little thing who sits among the cinders; what is left in the fireplace after the coal fire has burned down.

But that is a travesty of the real story that comes from the Norse. The name of the girl means 'Daughter of the Ash' not ashes.

The Ash is Yggdrasil, the sacred tree. The Daughter of the Ash finally vanquishes her opponents who are never her real, and sacred relatives, but ALWAYS step-mother or father, and their relatives. Haven't you noticed that in such stories? It's always the step-parents who are the baddies. That's the sign of a real story for adults.

When she vanquishes her step relatives she finds her true self and position, and meets her other half in the Prince. God and Goddess are
reunited in their own realm, the human psyche.

The step-relatives in these stories are the programs and concepts put into you when you were a child by those who were not really of your world at all, they only seemed so.

Beauty and the Beast is another wisdom story destroyed for the current generation. It is what happens to all of us. We are all both Beauty and Beast, and until we can integrate and own our Shadow side we are incomplete.

These stories have been available untainted for centuries, except for the current generation. They have always been available to the wise.

The twelve sectors of your inner being that can be labelled by astrology, ride out on the Cosmic Quest to seek the Grail, which they can only find after returning home.

For the kingdom of heaven is within you, and the Holy Grail is is the Sacred Cup of you Celts that holds the wine of the Goddess, which
is NOT wine that you drink.

The Sufis are the mystics of Islam and they talked all the time in code to avoid being killed as heretics.

The grape they speak of is the person. The wine is the spirit of the person, as it is of the grape, and the cup bearing the spirit to the
worship of the Goddess is the body. That is why the body is a sacred Temple.

Don't look at the world with the same blinkers your opponents wear when they look at what you do, and misinterpret it.

In some aspects, the Cup becomes the Cauldron of Cerridwen from which you get the three drops of Awen...inspiration.

Remember the computer HAL in the movie 2001? Go forward one letter in the alphabet and you get IBM. That may have been an accident, but
it wasn't hard to see as soon as you began to dig one layer down in the story.

Look at the books that tell you the ancient stories, and move that one step inwards. These stories have been preserved for all but the current generation deprived of their rightful heritage by the likes of Disney and the Hollywood folk.

Read She and Ayesha by Rider Haggard. They connected me to the Goddess when I was seven.

Read The Centaur by Algernon Blackwood, a high ranking member of the Golden Dawn. It gave me my first cosmic experience.

Read The Sea Priestess by Dion Fortune. People like these could not write out their teachings as text books. It was illegal. They had to put them into the form of novels.

Read all the Mary Poppins books with an aware mind. Read Pipers at the Gates of Dawn by Jonathan Cott, which is a book about the writers
of these stories.

These stories were not for children. They are only one step removed from being sacred texts. And you are the ones who must make that step, and gain the treasure within the words.

Look INTO the stories. The children saved them for you. Your job is to interpret them.

The majority of healers and psychics that I have met in the past sixty plus years have been dyslexic and have difficulty reading. But do it.

Don't make do with Disney's images."
